Fantastic debut release from Cómeme spotted russian artist Inga Mauer, which was recorded in a period when Inga lived between Cologne and Rotterdam, home to the famed Clone Records shop. Six raw’ish tracks – “constructed with razor-sharp drum-machines, penetrating synth sequences and alianated vocals” –have a perfect combination of cool chilled new wave grooves and cracked rave sounds. My biggest applauses goes to “Podonok” (which means “jerk” in russian).
